Carr carries a dead cap hit of $7.5 million if he were released this year. If the Raiders do decide to draft a QB with one of their 3 1st rounder picks (fourth, 24th and 27th), they may keep Carr around to allow a rookie to learn from the sidelines like the Chiefs did with Patrick Mahomes.
